Our community is designed to support our residents’ desires to lead fulfilling lives with many opportunities throughout the week for social engagement and enriching activities that address the physical, intellectual, spiritual, cultural, and emotional needs of our residents. Opportunities to engage in meaningful activities are important to everyone, but especially for those with memory impairment.

Gentle Stretch | Chair exercises that consist of gentle stretching. |
Daily Chronicle | Focuses on things that happened in history and celebrity birthday’s. |
You be the Judge | A game that helps use your cognitive abilities to try and guess what the outcome of actual court cases are. |
Everything Music | A miriad of cognitive games that include music trivia, name that tune, and fill in the blank. |
Balloon Battle | A physical exercise game that promotes health and laughter. Participants hit a punch balloon with either hands or a pool noodle in a laughter filled battle with and against members of their community. |
Happy Hands | Our version of a nail salon focused on physical touch and social interaction while performing manicures. We also trim, file, and paint nails. |
Where have you Been | A discussion that leads into the travel hour. This is a good way to have residents socialize and share experiences on where they traveled. |
Travel Hour | A Documentary of places to travel and popular sights to see. |
Chair Dancing | Exercise with a DVD that incorporates dance movement. |
Daily Chronicle | Focuses on things that happened in history and celebrity birthday’s |
Alphabet Game | A word game that gives residents a letter and a topic and sees how many things they came name that start with a certain letter. |
Crossword Fun | A large crossword puzzle game that is streamed to a community TV where participants work together to complete. |
Afternoon Stretch | Chair Exercises prove to be a gentle method of exercising that is adaptable for a wide range of abilities. |
Memories in the Making | Painting class where residents choose from stock art and create their own art using water colors in a guided painting course where they paint it how they see it. |
Bean Bag Toss | Physical exercise game where each resident has an opportunity to toss the bean bag, this is a great physical and social game. |
What Year was it? | a PowerPoint presentation that gives clues of things that happened in a particular year. The goal is to guess what year these things happened. |
BINGO | Everyone’s favorite game trying to get 5 numbers in a row. BINGO is not only a great cognitive came it is very social. |
Morning Workout | Chair exercises that are sometimes lead by staff and other times with a video instructor. |
Daily Chronicle | Focuses on things that happened in History and celebrity Birthday’s |
Remember When | Reminiscing on certain things from the past is a great way to connect socially and emotionally. |
Unscrambles | Cognitive game where participants try to unscramble words. |
States and Capitals | This activity can be done in a couple of different ways, typically a cognitive game where states and the capitals are recalled using participants memories. This can be socially uplifting while assisting with improving one’s self confidence. |
Getting Crafty | Arts and crafts allows everyone’s creativity to flow. |
Balloon Fun | A physical exercise game that promotes health and laughter where participants hit a punch balloon in a vollyball type game with either their hands or a pool noodle. |
Famous Cowboys / Bridges | Discussion on famous cowboys and bridges, this is also a good reminiscing activity. |
A little bit of Gratitude | Social and emotional discussion on things we are grateful for. |
